A mobile palliative care team visited me this Thursday and concluded that I would need assistance with certain daily tasks. The progression of lesions on my lumbar vertebrae has cost me mobility.. and, consequently, my independence. I now live almost entirely in a single room, alone, face-to-face with myself. :0)

I haven’t played a single note of music since I returned home about two weeks ago.

Here’s an enthusiastic recommendation (h/t Qobuz) for “This Will Be Us”, symphonic music from Icelandic composer Hildur Guðnadóttir. Just ravishingly beautiful stuff, fabulous performance by the Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin. Was listening to it in the car while running errands and I was probably a hazard to the other drivers.

CommsBreakdown released a new album last week! Really good upbeat dancy fun music :)

My favourite is the track 'Freezer Bath' which Steve said was inspired by the news story of a bank of freezers in Sheffield, UK, that were playing a perfect C sharp major ambient chord. Steve recreated the chord in Logic and built this IDM track around the chilled (literally) vibe.
